Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Architect and build complex frontend features using React and Next.js
• Drive technical decisions on frontend architecture and tooling
• Optimize application performance, accessibility, and SEO
• Establish best practices for code quality, testing, and reviews
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on the team
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to ship features
• Contribute to the frontend build and deployment pipeline
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with server-side rendering and static site generation
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo Client
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Open source contributions
• Experience in startup environments
